TRIPADVISOR · WRITTEN BY SOMEONE WHO WENTRITUALADS · A CREATIVE PROPOSAL

A billion scripts, already written.

Every review on Tripadvisor was written by someone who went. Our system cuts real footage to their words and credits the writer, in every size. Nothing is invented.

THE HONEST ONES · the Colosseum, Sagrada Família, Big Ben, the Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower and Machu Picchu, each with a real one-bubble review, thirty seconds, sound on

01

What Tripadvisor asked.

AI, creatively and authentically.

Tripadvisor's whole brand is the real: a billion reviews by people who went. So the AI on this page never invents a place, a person or an opinion. It casts the review, finds the footage, cuts, types, counts.

Two years of footage from the cities.

Every shot your agencies delivered gets read once: the place, what is in the frame, the light, the motion, the seconds it can give. From then on a review finds its own footage.

Volume, at a cost that scales.

One city's footage plus that city's reviews is hundreds of finished files a month, every one traceable to its review and its shot, every one checked by a person before it ships.

02

The place is filmed. The words are a traveler's. The rating is the rating.

Tripadvisor removed 214,000 machine-written reviews in 2024 so travelers would not read a sea of sameness. A brand that polices invented opinions cannot run invented places. That is the rule of every film on this page and of the system behind it.

languages across 43 markets. Every market has its own writers, and its films use their words.

What the system makes

  • The casting: which review, and which shots show what it says.
  • The cut, to the review's rhythm, at every length and size.
  • The type, in the brand's own credit grammar.
  • The sound: place sound from the picture, one music bed, no voice.
  • The count, with a receipt for every file.

What it never makes

  • A place. The footage is footage of the place itself.
  • A person. Nobody on these films is invented.
  • An opinion. Every line is a review, verbatim, credited.
  • A rating. The bubbles shown are the bubbles given.
  • A translation. The market's writer is the market's script.
03

One bubble. The honest ones.

Tripadvisor already prints a three-bubble review on a billboard: "RULES? It's a friggin' pizza joint!", from a real review of Lucali in Brooklyn. A one-bubble review of a wonder of the world is the same honesty, and the internet's favourite genre, and only the brand that holds the reviews can run it. Nine of them below, each cut to real footage of the real place, each credited the way the brand credits them.

Five bubbles. The same machine.

The Pantheon at dusk, with the line Tripadvisor already prints on its own poster. The honest ones and the happy ones come off the same system; the mix is a dial the brand sets.

05

The review picks its shots.

The system reads the review and finds the footage that shows what it says. Choose a review; the shots it chose light up with the words that chose them.

06

Every place, every length, every size: one real file each.

Ten places, two lengths, three sizes. Sixty finished files, each traceable to its review, its source and its shots. Pick any combination and the player swaps to that file.

07

Twenty-two languages. The local writer, never a translation.

A review written in Spanish about the Colosseum is a script for Spain. The system casts by market: the reviewer who wrote in the market's language is the writer of that market's film. Forty-three markets, each with its own writers. Only the credit line changes hands.

From a handful a week to hundreds a month.

Today's session is the floor: ten reviews, sixty files, one afternoon. Set the week and the month counts itself. Every file still passes a person before it ships; the person's job becomes choosing, not making.

THE COUNT · reviews a week, times lengths, times sizes, times four weeks and a third; no figure on this page is a price

THE TREE · one review on the left becomes its lengths, then its sizes; the count at the right edge is the week

10

Two years of city footage, read once.

Every shot the agencies delivered is read once and written down: the place, what is in the frame, the light, the motion, the seconds it can give. From then on a review finds its own footage in seconds and nothing is shot twice. Below, the stand-in library this page was cut from, read the same way.

Built by RitualAds.

Three campaigns from the record. Each film plays here; each card opens its full case study. RitualAds builds the whole film from a line of brief, and for Tripadvisor that line is already written a billion times.

Baby Monster

In A big-budget family-adventure script, Baby Monster, that had been collecting dust: the magic of Amblin, the wonder of E.T., the scale of Jurassic Park.

Out A previsualization trailer that gave decision makers something a script cannot.

The result A bidding war between Netflix and Universal, ending with Universal landing the project with Jeff Robinov's Studio 8 producing, the team behind the $180M+ box office hit Nosferatu.

Super Bowl hype trailer

In A first-of-its-kind Super Bowl hype trailer, co-directed by Ritual Ads director Steve Davis and Sam Joos.

Out AI visuals blended with live-action elements in a cinematic hybrid, set to 2WEI's 'History in the Making'.

The result Produced in under two weeks.

Temple & Webster

In Australia's largest online furniture retailer imagined its first cinematic brand campaign as magical realism: a woman steps through a door in her living room wall and the world begins to answer her.

Out Every room, move and transition mapped before cameras rolled; the actress's real performance stayed untouched while the Temple & Webster world grew around her, furnished entirely from the brand's catalog of over 200,000 products.

The result The brand's first cinematic brand campaign launched nationally in July 2026 across broadcast, CTV and digital, in 30 and 15 second cuts. “Without you guys, this ad is not even going to air. You've smashed it!” · Temple & Webster

12

The ways in.

One city

The test. Tripadvisor's own footage from one city, that city's reviews through the Content API, the family delivered in weeks: every length, every size, the receipts. The dial set together.

Ninety days

Three cities, the languages of their markets, the library read once, the review dial, the weekly run. The team learns the system while it runs.

Every month

The line. The reviews chosen each week, the files delivered each week, the count agreed, the library growing with every shoot the agencies deliver.

THE SHAPE · each one is scoped with you, case by case

13

Written by someone who went.

RitualAds is the engine behind campaigns and previsualizations for brands from Coca-Cola to Reebok. For Tripadvisor that means a billion scripts already written, and a system that films them without inventing a thing.

Bring one city's footage to the first call. The first films land the same week.

The meeting takes thirty minutes.
